What’s the benefit of a lever belt?
Lifting belts are made to support your spine by increasing pressure in your core. By using a belt, you increase the intra-abdominal pressure in your body– meaning you can lift more weight and help prevent injuries. However, it’s not a replacement for proper lifting technique.
Unlike belts with one or two prongs, lever belts only need to be adjusted the first time you use them. This makes it faster and easier to put on and take off the belt without fiddling with the prongs each time.
Should I choose the 10mm or 13mm Lever Belt?
Both belts offer substantial support. The main difference is that the 13mm belt has extra material, making it slightly thicker and offering slightly more support. If you're a beginner or haven't used a lifting belt before, you might find the 10mm belt more comfortable.

This belt is great. I needed new competition legal equipment for my meet, and I was recommended a lever belt. This one was a good entry-level purchase. I love the ab engagement. The only downside is that I need to screw and unscrew the belt to adjust, which was a little inconvenient what I was cutting weight. I also like to deadlift with a looser belt than my squat. I hope this belt is built to last. Still, 5/5. The straps are great too. I was worried about purchasing 24", but they provide fantastic support. Overall, I enjoy wearing the equipment. I’ve used lifting belts from Strength Shop for years now and just upgraded to this new blue tiger belt. I could’ve gone with size small, which I had previously, but since belt sizes overlap I ordered this one in Medium. Still fits, now with a bit of overlap in front which makes it feel even more substantial.

Have had the belt for a week so far and love it. The quality of it feels great, it doesn’t feel like hard plastic like some of the other lever belts I’ve owned. Belt feels great and I hit a PR the first time I used it. Screws for the lever seem to back themselves out, but nothing a little blue loctite won’t fix.
